Yes, it is valid. And it happens with more than one user.

Thanks

Does the SMTP server you are using require authentication?

What have you got your smtp settings to ?

This generally happens when you are connecting to the mail server that is responsible for the domain of the address you are sending to and the address/account does not exist.  A mail server can verify the existence of an address ONLY for those domains it is responsible for.

When you send a PM to yourself the 'from' address is set to your own email address. This often doesn't work if the SMTP server requires authentication, as often with authenticated SMTP servers the 'from' or 'to' address needs to be a local email address.

This is presently being worked on for the next version of Web Wiz Forums so that when an email is sent from the forum the 'from' address is always set to that of the forum, so that emails can be set using SMTP servers that require authentication. This will then fix the issue that you are experiencing.
