Yes, and TV's Clock Radio's anything that plugs into a wall... though circuit cards and micro electronics are most susceptible to slight voltage fluctuations.

Oh... back on topic. I installed FF1.5 and can really see no difference. Should I?

It stops crashing for me when I quit the browser!

The auto updater thing you will notice when they release updates I guess.  Seems to load a tad faster.

re: what df was saying bout phone lines etc in storms: if you're going to get a ups, pay the little bit extra for one that you can run your phone line (DSL, etc) through, cos otherwise you're not really protected...
