Name banning can be a part of a "Account Filter" where you can have wildcards so if you dont want any accounts made with the word blah in it you would add to *blah* to a list and it would disallow people having blah in any part of their account. Can also add accounts you want to ban. Two features in one!
Scotty_32: you should edit your original post to add more stuff rather then making double posts.

oh, i just remembered when i pressed "Post Reply"
id like to be able to use HTML in the Sig. as id like to use the <hr>
so could you maybe give a choice for "HTML" and "WYSIWYG" Sig. Editors?

Allowing HTML is a big security risk as it leaves the board open to malious code. Also if you use [HR] in your sig it will be converted to <hr>.
The other ideas I am certainly considering.

There are codes for the smilies if you enable forum codes in your post, but they are a little different to MSN messager codes as they are surrounded in sqaure blocks eg. [:)] this has been done as it was found that when people posted progarmming code that contain things like :) parts of the code would get converted to smilies.

Everywhere uses different symbols, if you look at the Yahoo Messanger for an angry face the use X( which is different again.

In version 7 you edit the file emoticons_inc.asp found in the includes folder.
The scroll problem could be becuase the images don't have set sizes for them, which is not proper HTML but it allows the images and buttons to be swapped with new ones without editing the code. But it does mean until the image completly downloads browsers guess the size and then reformat once the image has downloaded.
I'm making new emoticons at the moment and slowly adding the new ones to this forum as I create them. Also I am changing some of the forum codes for the emoticons.
