Put the link to your site map high up on the home page - before any javascript/dhtml menus - sometime the bots get lost in menus.
I'd echo Gullanian's comments about front page. I've had it on my machine since V2.0 - a lot of my clients use it. FP 2003 is very good.
I find I use it instead of Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, or Ultraedit for a lot of quick stuff.
I work mostly in code view and don't use their FP-bots or dhtml stuff. Their admin tools and reports are great. Use the link/navigation view to plan your site map.
Some of the info is dated - e.g. I more emphasis is put on keywords separated by hyphens in a domain name now. But overall, the principles remain the same.
