How much load WebWiz on MS Access handle?

MS Access has allot of limitations and although I have seen web wiz forums with over 8,000 members and 50,000 posts running on Access it depends very much on the environment it is running in.

Connecting to Access databases from an ASP page usually uses the ADO pool, on most servers this is limited to 20 shared between all sites on the server, so can course problems on busy servers using allot of databases.

Other problems with Access is that because it is a flat file it tends to get large very quick and requires the whole flat file to be loaded into the servers memory every time it is accessed.

I often find that on busy sites because Access was designed as a desktop database it can not cope with the demands placed on it by a forum and often becomes corrupted and data can be lost.

I always recommend that unless you have a handful of users to use the MS SQL Server version.
