I have a newbie question about the functionality of Web Wiz and I'm hoping someone can help.

I'd like to setup a forum on my current site but what I'd like to do is have an entry page that works as a sort of introduction to the forums and what it's about. I'd like that entry page to be mostly a "normal HTML looking" page but with a small forum section at the bottom. Essentially what I'd like to do is have the page tell people about the community and what they'll find inside the forums and then at the bottom have a 'Best Of The Forums' section which highlights what I consider some of the best threads from the forum.

What I'm hoping to do is create a separate section within my main forum called 'Best Of' and have just that section display on that introduction page. From an administrative standpoint, whenever I want a thread to appear on that introduction page I would just move it from wherever it exists in the main forum into the 'Best Of' section. Is there anyway to do this? The basic question I suppose is whether it's possible to isolate one specific section of a larger forum and have only that section appear on a separate HTML page within your site.

Any thoughts?

I think you could do this using the top X number of topics, and specify the forum ID you want it to pull the topics from.  Have a look in the extras folder of your WWF install (I think).

As for the main page etc, it would probably be easiest to set it up as the following, rather than renaming the WWF default.asp, and then all WWF files which link to it.

www.yourdomain.com\default.asp (welcome page / best of)
