I know that this is a really simple question but please could someone tell me exactly how to delete a member from the forum? I go to the right area (where it says you can do it) and click on the member name .. but for the life of me cannot see how to do it. Thanks for any help given!

I can answer that one,
 
If you view the profile of the member in question and then click the edit button on the profile page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and there is a check box for deleting the user, check the box and then update the profile.

I think deleting a user will also delete their posts which may make some threads difficult to follow. Better off to disable/ban a user and leave their posts intact.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

now if one user post many malicious topics,how can we delete him and all his posts?

  • Click on members name
  • Click 'Edit this members forum settings'
  • Click 'Edit Profile'

Right at the bottom just before the 'Update Profile' submit button there is a checkbox labeled 'Check this box to delete this member, this cannot be undone.'

place a tick in that box and submit the form, accept the warning and continue.

That will delete the member plus all their posts. Clap

I thought that the posts were left in place but the poster username displayed as Guest?
