I searched these forums and haven't found a thread about my question so here goes...
I am a brand new Web Wiz Forums user. I chose a web host that uses mySQL server and downloaded the mySQL version of Web Wiz Forums Express v9. I thought I was following the correct installation instructions (
mySQL Installation Documentation), but when I get to step 8 (putting "www.mydomain.com/mySQL_server_setup.asp" in my web browser, I get a 404 error.
I've uploaded the "forum" folder to "/public_html"
I've created a new mySQL database
I've edited the "database_connection.asp" file to include my web IP address, mySQL username, mySQL password and mySQL database name
The domain is brand new and the hosting service says it takes 1-2 days to be active, is this a factor? Did I put the file in the wrong location? Is there a different IP address for the mySQL database than there is for the website? Any other tips that a self-proclaimed newbie can use?

(btw, my background is in graphic design, but mostly in print and identity. I've got a little experience in web design and coding, though not much and I'm a bit rusty. Please speak slowly! haha)
