I might be working on a project soon that will require some video editing... Has anyone got any experience with video editing software?

There are so many different programs out their, and I am not sure which is the best.

Could anyone advise me?

In the past I used Pinnacle Studio... it's very easy but if you're looking for something more fancy then Adobe Premiere would be a good one if you learn how to use it...

So given the choice, is Adobe Premiere better than pinnacle feature wise?

Adobe Premiere is much better. It's used by movie production professionals and even taught in universities as  a popular video editing tool. If you learn how to use it then you're just lucky as you'll impress every1 around Cool

When I was faced with the task of editing my Wedding Video - I dabbled with Adobe Premiere. I don't think it's worth it over Pinnacle for "basic" stuff. If you just want to cut-edit-paste do the occasional transition and some light/sound adjustments Pinnacle is more than enough. If you need to do parallel runs of 2 or more videos with intersecting sounds etc. go ahead and play with Premiere

Michael, I agree... for small projects Pinnacle Studio is more than enough...
Premiere is hard to learn... where as one tutorial of Pinnacle Studio would allow you to create a good looking video with effects, etc...

I've just had a play about with the Adobe Premiere Pro trial and seems complicated. I think i'll go with Pinnacle, there are a lot more tutorials on how to use that.
