When I installed the 7.9 system, my upload folder was named
upload. I assume that name was created by the software.
When I updated to 11.04, I initially tried using that same folder, but the file upload software failed looking for uploads (with an "s"). I assumed I had made an error somewhere, renamed it, and the file uploads started working again.
Now, when I open a posting that was made in 7.9 and attempt to access a file, it fails because it is looking for the upload folder.
I assume that if I keep the old files in the upload folder and create uploads for the new files it will still work.
Seems to me that the documentation should alert you about this change in name. I don't think that I was the one naming that folder back in 7.9.
