Hi guys, ive downloaded the SQL evaluation copy, can anyone please tell me how to creat backups or not let it overwrite anything in my IIS because I only want it temporarialy and last time i did it IIS stopped working with access!

I've never known SQL server to effect anything to do with IIS.

It could be that it is installing the latest ODBC drivers, if it is then these no-longer support Access 97 and you may need to change your access databases to Access 2000 or 2002

If Access fails to run after then it sounds more like  a database driver problem, so I would try reinstalling the MDAC drivers from www.microsoft.com/data

im having trouble connecting to the SQL database.... (with webwiz forum)

i created a new database called Forum

i look in properties my server name is TOM

i enter these two details in the sql server connection file

i run sql server setup.asp and it keeps saying my details are wrong, what username should i be using?

By default SQL server installs with Windows Authentication only. For that to work with the forum you would have to use a different connection string. It would be easier to go into the properties of the server and change it to mixed mode, then you can connect with sa and the password you chose for it. Click here to see where

What username and password do I enter for

/msSQL_server_setup.asp

try Username:sa Password:______ (being it blank) This is the default I think if you switch. You can always change the sa password going to the security control in Enterprise Manager.
