Topic: BUG: adding emoticons will clear all? Posted: 18 October 2003 at 8:46am |
WWF 7.5, when I used non-RTE post edit box, I typed something first like "112245421",then I click the emticons on the left side of the box, SOMETIMES the emoticons code will erase/clear all or part of the text that I typied. Very serious bug, please tell me how to fix it.... thanx

The javascript for the adding of emaoticons on the non RTE box takes
what is already written and adds the emoticon code to the end. The
bold, italic buttons do the same.

My OS: windows server 2003; and I have tested this problem on these browsers: ie6, myie2, sleipnir, greenbrowser . I typed some letter and figures ,then I add some emoticons on the left side panel, I noticed that this problem ONLY occured in GreenBrowser... And I think it is quite possible that GreenBrowser have something in supporting this new Javascript RTE editor. By the way, the old non-WYSIWYG works quite well on GreenBrowser.

Greenbrowser is not a common browser. Therefore it is not supported

GreenBrowser like Avant and a few others is using the IE engine intsalled on your machine so can't see why it won't work.
They might as well be IE skins that add a bit more functionality to IE.
As I don't like IE and all it's quirks I don't really like these IE
based browsers either.
Why not try some of the better browers around like Mozilla Firebird, Mozilla, or Opera.
