Hi,

My PC can't start anymore. There's power shown in
the monitor and some spinning sound from the
CPU. The sound is either the fan or hardisk.

I have important document to retrieve. Can someone
help me???

What has you done? Try to think back what you did before this happen. This is very important. What do you see when you reboot your pc? Total nothing or when start to be nothing. You need to give us more details so that we can narrow down your problem.

Thanks for the reply.

It was quite some time back that I used that PC. I
pulled out all cables and connected once as I re-
arranged my desk. After that when I on it again, the
monitor only said "No signal detected" and I hear
only a spinning sound from the CPU.

This is the second time I faced this problem. I have
already dumped the previous computer and hope to
know what's the real problem now.

It can be a lot of things, in my case the motherboard was fried. It could be the CPU or just the memory, where hard to say. Do you hear beeps?? If yes, what is the beep order like:
beep-beep-beeeeeep or beep beeeep beeeep
This way you can find out where it is beeping. If no beep at all it is most probably the motherboard. Thus, open the case and check if you see the cpu fan spinning. If it is, it maybe the cpu....

Had a similar problem on with XP Pro. Installed Linux and it worked ;) hehe

Sad part is that once I reinstalled again with Windows it didn't work

I just scrapped it in the end. Too much trouble to screw around with it anymore.
