Hi

I am unable to open my access DB when i try i says:

The DB is in a unknown format

I am trying to open the access DB that's in the 7.01 forum.

I am using microsoft access 2000 9.0.2812.

Can someone help me?

You database may have become corrupted or is saved in a higher version than you have.

MY forum is working perfekt so i dont no if it's become corrupted. I can open the DB that's in 7.6

If it has been created with a newer version of Access (for example Xp or 2003) U need to open it with a more recent version and save it into a older format.

U have to ask -boRg- the Access version he has used.

I can open my wwf v7.6 access databse wit office 2k not office 97. so plz try with 2k

FWIW you can access data created by newer versions of MS Access by creating a new DB in your version and then "linking" to the individual tables in the newer MDB (not tried with 2003).

This is also a useful "trick" to remember with a partially corrupt DB when all else fails.

The access version is in Access 2000, there is no Access 97 version as Access 97 is no-longer supported by MS's JET drivers and also becomes easily corrupted in a web environment.
