I have just downloaded the Windows XP Service Pack 2 (Technical Preview Program

). At Size: 273 MB for the English vision it could take some time to download and that is if you are one of the lucky ones to have a Broadband connection.

I am currently loading it onto a test PC we have to evaluate it an test. You can look and get the SP2 download from this link

NOTE

This SP2 is still in development and this download is only for testing.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) provides an enhanced security infrastructure that defends against viruses, worms and hackers, along with increased manageability and control for IT professionals and an improved experience for users.

Yep tell me about it but they are working to get it down to around 70mb

They will probably remove some of the security features to do so LOL.

actually just watched a webcast on xp sp2 and SQL Server, mostly bc of the win firewall sql will not be accessible via TCP, port must be explicitely opened or the sql server EXE must be set as an allowed program... Even though this will cause some frustrations of ppl calling "Ican't connect anymore but nothing changed" (forgetting to mention that an SP is a change).
