Disable Forum Codes Not Working

The checkbox at the bottom:
 
 < = value=True name=forumCodes>Enable Forum Codes to format post
 
doesn't seem to work properly.  For example, when unchecked, it still tries to process the 
 tags.

With forum codes disabled boxes like 'quote' and 'code' do still get processed and rendered. This was done by design.

Oh, okay.  Makes sense and could be useful.  Just caught me off-guard since other forums disable all of them in that situation.
