I have changed lines 474-479 in language_file_inc.asp file
and changed these lines. do you think this may have some bearing on the register error?

Const strTxtRegistrationDetails = "Registration Details (required)"

From the jmail FAQ...
jmail.SMTPMail error '8000ffff'
The message was undeliverable. All servers failed to recieve the message

The mailserver(s) you specified either weren't set up to receive emails from your webserver or you didn't enter a valid mailserver. You must enter the full name or IPaddress, you can't just enter the network name of your mailserver. Also, some systems prefer if you specify port, which usually is 25.

Spoke to our IT manager and the College uses Jmail all the way through and there are no problems there.  tried your suggestion within Outgoing SMTP Mail Server settings in the email notification configuration area.  put in full address including http:// etc. tried the IP address also.

The user who registers actually gets registered and the administrator receives notification of the user being registered.

Please help me!!
