Try turning off friendly HTTP error messages in IE then post what the error message is if it is not covered already in the common errors documentation that comes with the forum software.

 This is what shows:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09'

Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

/forum/login_user.asp, line 171

this is that line:
rsCommon.Fields("User_code") = strUserCode

and now what?

one thing to check for is that you have cookies and session veriables enabled within the browser.

also it may help to add your website to the cookie white list and therefore allow cookies and session veriables.
