    Posted: 23 May 2012 at 1:30am
Hi there,

Whenever a user gets sent an activation code, they get a "Undelivered Mail to Sender" email, with two attachments and this as content:

"This is the Postfix program at host deferred-out-120.livemail.co.uk.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that the message returned
below could not be delivered to one or more destinations.

For further assistance, please send mail to <postmaster>

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the message returned below.

The Postfix program

<blahblah@hotmail.com>: Host or domain name not found.
Name service error for name=hotmail.com type=A: Host
    not found"

How do I change the blahblah@hotmail.com addy?

Also, where can I find the policy form asp? Would like to change it so users don't need to be using their real names.

Any help appreciated!

This has nothing to do with Web Wiz Forums, but instead this is caused by the SMTP server that you are using.

You should contact your SMTP server admin regrading this issue.

Sorry do not what you are referring to when you say 'policy form asp'?

If you do not want members having to enter their Real Name when registering you can disable this as a required field from the admin area.

when you go to register, the rules for the forum come up. Where can I edit this sheet?

You can edit the Registration Rules/Policy from the Registration Settings page in the Forums online Admin Area.

we're running 7.9 Bruce. To update the forum do I need access to the Database, or can I do it via FTP?

In 7.9 you would need to edit the file language_files\registration_polices_file.asp using a text editor.

You should consider upgrading though as 7.9 has been out of support now for over 5 years and has a number of security vulnerabilities.
