Hi!

I have private server running windows server 2003 + MS SQL 2000. I created blank database, installed forum succesfully - BUT - now I get this error when trying to access it:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e09'

EXECUTE permission denied on object 'wwfSpSelectConfiguration', database 'forum', owner 'dbo'.

/forum/common.asp, line 283

I know that probably I did not set up database access correctly - but can somebody tell me where I got it wrong?
Many tnx in advance.

this means the user that is used to connect to the SQL server doesn't have access (execute) permssions enabled within that account

if using Enterprise manager to edit the server, you need to right click the stored procedures and then on the line with the connecting username allow executing permissions

done that - SQL server group--LOCAL--databases--forum--stored procedures--wwfxxxx and still nothing...Confused

it's weerd that I have to do that manually for so many lines - isn't there some kind of command or click, alowing the user right away that he/she can do that? Question

I would like to see the procedure from creating the database and user, that can login into the server, opening the database and doing with it all neccesary stuff - read+write+update+execute etc etc LOL
