Number of Posts Out of Sync?

	We found on our forum tonight that the number of posts listed in the author table is out of sync from the actual number of posts in the thread table. I wrote a quick script to clean it up. Has anyone else experienced this?

	When i have that problem i go in the administration area and i have an option 'Re-Sync Topic and Post Count' to solve that problem.

	The Re-Sync Topic and Post Count doesn't seem to correct the problem I am describing. I mean, it does now on my forum, because I updated the code to do so, but the 7.9.2 code base does not.

	I think it does, but it takes a while. If it does it instantly, I'm worried, because I clicked it to resync, then later on post counts had changed dramatically
