calander events

Once you have granted and group or user permissions to create a calender event they can do so by setting the event date when creating a new topic in the forum they have event permissions on.

If you have permissions to create an event then you can turn old topics into events by editing the first post in that topic, then setting the event date just under where you set the subject of the topic.

Sorry you can't create an event without creating a topic.
