I just recently installed WebWiz.

1 - Unfortunately typing in: Administrator and the password doesn't reveal the link I am supposed to click on that will allow me to set up my forums.

2 - When a new user is created and is logged in. Logout does NOT work!! (the user can't logout)

3 - Lastly, when the user presses the register button after they have typed in their details it comes up with some ASP CDONTS mail error.

Any ideas anyone...??

1. Could be corrupted files or incorrectly setup, reupload files again.

2. Same as above.

3. Check with your host that they support CDONTS, if they do again it could be a corrupted file.

Thanks,

Other than the forum to setup (which I can get to), there really isn't any other setup involvded is there?

I only today downloaded the files, so they should be all ok (access 2002 version and 2000 version, both had the same problem)

I don't think it does support CDONTS... so is there a way around this error?

Sounds like your forum is incorrectly setup.

Turn off email functions in the admin section if your host doesn't support any of the email componets supported.

I have found that login doesn't work sometimes and logout NEVER works for me.

In other posts it was said that its an IE cookie problem.

But... I can log in and out of the WebWiz forums (these ones) no problem.

(I have downloaded webwiz many times)

Any ideas?

It could be anti-virus software, internet security sofware, firewall software, etc. interfering with the running of the forum. Try disabling and reenabling these types of software on your machine and on the server.

still not sure?

I tried the forum using opera web browser, I turned off zonealarm and my antivirus software and I still can't login/logoff.

I don't know if this helps but:

1 - I am running the forum locally to test it

2 - ** I have noticed that if I use '\forum\admin\default.asp' to logon as administrator it works!!!... I just can't log in through the normal way as administrator. **

But i still can't logoff or login as a normal user.

not sure if that helps?

Still sounds like a cookie problem.
