 Topic: transform phpbb forum into Web Wiz Forums

i have a forum working in phpbb (www.phpbb.com).
IŽd like to know if it is possible to transform the database from phpbb to a Web Wiz Forums, in a way that i have all data from one working on another.
there is a tool to do that?
how could i do that?
IŽd be gratefull.

As far as I know there is no such tool to do so, I ain't even sure if its been attempted yet.

It's definitely possible but there's no tool for it that I know of, and I doubt anyone's just gonna do it for you...

Nothing has been made specifically for convertinf from phpbb to Webwiz because they are different database formats. However I would strongly recommend you change to WWF

I guess one of the first places to start would be to convert the
database into either ACCESS or MSSQL. PHPBB uses MYSQL by Default.
There are some great tools to do just that, at http://www.convert-in.com/sql2acc.htm
Then I guess you should get the database, in the same format as WWF.
Once it is in the same format then I guess you could give it a try..
Perhaps some brillinat, programmer could write a mod/script to convert the database...

They most likely encrypt passwords differently, so you would after transfering users to the new database create new passwords for them and email them their new ones, or change the WWF code to use the same password encryption.

There might be a tool for turning phpbb into snitz. After that it is quite easy to change your database to webwiz
