Hi -boRg-
 
i have installed aspsmartupload component on local mahicne to be used on the intranet forum. once i i have installed it, i test it separately and it worked just fine with uploading and downloading.
 
when i tried to use it with the forum, it throws the following error

The page cannot be displayed

HTTP 500 - Internal server error
Internet Explorer

 

any clue

Please take a look at the FAQs.

They explain in detail on how to fix the HTTP 500 error.

well, FAQ has no answer for this problem. aspsmartupload is working fine. forums 8.01 is working fine. but when i integrate the aspsmartupload with the forum and try to upload a file to the forum, it works fine in the prview but when i submit the whole topic with the upload it shows error 500  (btw, i have given write privielge to the uploads folder.

The FAQ will tell you how to turn off "Friendly Error Messages" which will replace the http 500 error with a detailed error showing exactly where the problem is occurring. Post the detailed error. Http 500 error are to generic to do anything with.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

Thanks, i have seen the exact error, trace it and fix it. it was permission error
