I recently moved my forum from one server to another within the same hosting service.  After moving the site I have an issue that I am puzzled by.  rarebird.org

When performing a search, the results posted are only from 1 subforum.  The remainder of the data is ignored.  Same goes for "New Posts"  only results from one subforum is shown

Any ideas appreciated

Chuck

Looking at your forum I can see that only the 'Toledo Area Rare Bird Alert' forum has been posted in recently.

I am guessing that this is the only forum posted in since the moved and the only forum that searches are working for?

If that is the case try posting in another forum and see if the you can then search that post.

If you can then I suspect the issue maybe an encoding issue with your database. The posts that were created prior to the move where posted in a different encoding to what they are now making them unsearchable.

I see that you are using the mySQL version. If you have the SQL Dump from when you moved the website try restoring it again making sure that the database is set to the same encoding as on the previous server.

Can I just move this site to your servers and ask your team to fix the issues?

Can I pay you to do the migration (and upgrade to 11.05 and also try to fix database issues. Also, I currently cannot upload pictures. Certainly that is a server issue.
