american body for patents has gone stupid.. they will patent anything provied good sum of dollars ...a while ago they were talking about patenting sperms

I'd like to patent breathing.
My first lawsuit would be against a stray rabid dog that was about to be put down for attacking people... Just to set a precedent.
Then I'd go after politicians and lawyers.

Will that cover talking crap as well? As you will be loaded in no time at all.
On thinking about it I would like to patent the F word & Sh*t as I would. I would be minted and could pay you in full in no time as all would be saying "When is BoRg getting back as I need a F’in Sh*t"
PS if you are going away and talking crap is under the same patent, It’s going to be a quiet time ahead.

They might be able to patent things like that but legally they can't do anything with them.
A patent will only stand up if it is not generic (ie. has not been done before).
For example a company invented and pentented the surf board. Other
comapnies then came out with their own and were taken to court, but the
case was overturned when someone found a magazine article from the 40's
with some lad had made a basic bord with a sail attached to it and
sailed it around some lake for a summer. This was enough to mean that
the idea had been done before and so was generic and so the patent for
the surf board was not upheld.
