   I like UltraEdit myself and have written all the applications for this site in UltraEdit.

It has lots of useful features, but doesn't come with built in support
for ASP syntax highliting, but if you look on the UltraEdit site there
are some good add-ons for ASP syntax highlighting and a good ASP tag
bar which is great for not having to keep typing ASP commands.

Both of these can be easily changed yourself by editing the text file
for them so you can customise the syntax highliting and the tag list to
suit your needs.

The global search and replace tool that can be used on mutiple files in
a directory is great and can use regular expressions, it's also got a
useful search and find feature along the same lines you just point it
at the files in a directory.

It has so many useful features I can't possibly mention them all here,
but check it out, you may find it really useful, I know I do.
