This is quite an old post you are dragging up from another user so you may not have the exact same issue, although the error message maybe similar. You would be best off starting a new topic for your issue and have as much details as possible such as error message, database type, version number, and what if any database upgrades you have done.

No, me and Webmasterff are co owners of the same website. We use 9.0 version and he does the technical side and cannot find a problem with our database. When clicking on a profile we get...........

The website cannot display the page

 HTTP 500

Most likely causes:

  • The website is under maintenance.
  • The website has a programming error.

What you can try:

Refresh the page.

Go back to the previous page.

You haven't said whether you use the Access, MySql, or Sql version.
After a conversion to MySql from Access I had some database issues. I disabled "strict mode" in the my.ini file and a lot of the problems went away.
You may also want to make sure you have the latest version of MDAC installed on your system, assuming that you're a Microsoft user. Maybe a better fix could be suggested if we knew which OS, type or version of web server, and forum type you were using.

A number of users has issues because they upgraded to a beta 9 version, which were intended for testing purposes only, and/or they used third party mods which altered the database schema.

This meant when the final version 9 was released that they have ended up with incompatible databases with incorrect datatypes set, and missing database fields, coursing the issues that you have mentions.

The only thing you can do now is download the latest version and go through every table checking every field is there and set to the correct datatype.

And in future please stick to the official advice, which is do NOT use beta test versions on a live web site, and do not use 3rd party mods which change the database schema, unless these 3rd party mods follow official guide lines and prefix any database changes with the letters MOD.
