To patch or upgrade from version 8.03 replace the file 'functions/functions_filters.asp'

+ "includes/version_inc.asp" Wink

I didn't mention that as the displayed version number isn't important but I expect for updating checking it could be.

Also I hope to add a feature that would automatically check for updates when you enter the admin section using AJAX

Good call mate, I guess an auto check could be good and keep up the security.

Altho it would have to be well implimented as most net apps i use with intergrated auto version checking, i turn it off as it usually causes more problems than it's worth!

Of course i'm sure you'll find an elegant soloution

I was planning something more along the lines of a notice in the admin section informing the user that a new version has been released this way they don't need to manually check for new versions and the user can still decide to upgrade or not.

ASP is to far off being able to auto-update files due to security issues that it could course.

Good catch! Clap

I sure hope the next revision is that easy. Though somehow, I'm thinking there will be many more files to edit.

Makes a guy really appreciate "WinMerge"
