I am not aware that there are any new registration or login files. If your cookie settings are correct on the browser level there should be no problem.

please try with a different browser recom, mend Firefox.

also add the domain in question into your cookies white list.

there is no new login or registration files.. the latest are in V7.9, and i think they haven't been changed for a cookie issue for lots of sub versions before that.

also check what internet utillities you are using.. you maybe runing a program that prevents the writing of cookies.

also in firefox you can use the cookie explorer to see if the cookie is being written to the computer.

If the security images are not being fully written then this usually means that your site has problems with ASP sessions.

Some applications use the 'Session.Abandon' method (quite common in chat room apps), this can course sessions to not work correctly for your site.

There is also a bug in win2003 that prevents cookies from correctly working within ASP applications. Check microsofts site for a fix.

Dear Admin,
I solved the problem, please refer to my America Hosting reply for reference,so that It can help more people with the same problem:

I believe it is because they are using the built-in code to save session state in ASP. That may works fine in Windows 2000 but not in Windows 2003. The main reason is that Windows 2003 is a multi-thread, and multi-process web server, whereas Windows 2000 implements a single-process server. So, each time the same web request get switched from one process to another, the session state stored in memory got lost.

I have moved that site to a single-process application pool, effectively emulating the Windows 2000 environment. Please check with them and see if they still have the problem.

However the best solution is still to implement session states using a more permanent method (such as file-based cookies or even via database).

Regards
qingdong

Serializing the cookies would be a major performance hit - not to mention a large amount of work. Unless your host is running your app across a server farm (an instance of the app on each of their servers for redundancy), there's no need for it not to have it's own application pool. Indeed, most cookie based web code will fail otherwise.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.
