I would like to run WWF on 4 domains and 4 SQL databases, but have it so that users can have one account for all domains.  This will prevent them from having to have separate accounts for each domain.

Any suggestions on how this can be done?

That may not be very simple.

An easier solution would be to run all 4 forums from the same SQL server database, but use only 1 authors table.

The way this could be done is.

In the common.asp files there is a variable that holds the table and stored procedure prefixes so that multiple forums can run from the same MS SQL DB. Make these prefixes different for each forum.

Now is the more difficult part. You will need to run some sort of global search and replace on each forum so that each of the forums will use the same tblAuthors table.

I've never tried it myself, but should in theory work.

Ok, that looks like a good suggestion.  I'll work with that.  Does this also apply to the stored procedures?  Do I need to have different sets of stored procedures for each instance of the database?

----Update----

Never mind.  I figured it out.  You edit the two variables in the msSQL_server_setup.asp script and it does it all for you.
