The difference is disk storage. Many hosts offer fixed storage limits for files and fixed storage for databases.

The main consideration that you mentioned would be whether you have an application that needs massive amounts of storage in the database (you can usually buy more).

mssql is more industry adopted on windows plattform then mysql..it is more professionally designed to compete with others such as Oracle rather than open source child play mysql.. MYsql is infact a good product to use and learn databases but mysql and asp just dont go well hand in hand with eaqch other

MSSQL will integrate with a lot of ready made ASP applications easily such as WWG forums..it also has wide support, tutorials and guides on MSDN and on the internet on many websites. u can find many mssql discussion to support u and and answer your questions in many different languages beside english

if u are using mssql, u can easily attach and deattach databases as well attach those u recovred from ur crashed server, etc etc ..as well many other facilities to import / export data and shedule services and stuff

mssql has stored procedure facility.. a huge plus if u ask me where as mysql has no built in support for procedures..stored procedures show real glory when database servers recive high traffic on regular basis such as web wiz guide database...
