Unfortunatly I can't do that for risk of abuse.  1 Euro for 10 credits isn't expensive and gives you enough to experiment with.

I was just kidding Tongue

here in Egypt there are many sites for sending FREE sms, I don't know how they support this, but they allow sending unlimited free sms per account, may be because of the advertisment text attached to the sms.

btw, how much a sms costs if sent from a mobile?

Depends where you are and where you send it to, from the UK to most UK mobiles it's 10p

With my US carrier it depends upon what account options you have with your cell plan. They offer three sms plans each with a different per message charge for overages. If you don't have a plan, the charge is $0.10 (US) per message. Other carriers charges for no plan fees are (+-) 2 csnts or so.

There's also several million pda users who use email instead of sms. Blackberry's and Treo's are very popular to the point where the manufacturers have difficulty keeping up with demand. In my experience, email hits my pda faster than sms. YMMV.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

C4sms can send an SMS to a UK mobile for 6p, and to the US for 6p.  From what I've researched into it's not worth me advertising in the US, texts are pretty cheap there although I have heard of them being sent for 25cents.

C4 can beat most UK standard mobile rates, it's common to see them at 10 or 12 pence, although some service providers have special details if the message remains within their networks.

I am very suprised I can actually beat a lot of phone providers prices.  The idea of C4 is also you can send cheap texts anywhere in the world to anywhere in the world for tiny rates, much better than what some people I know do which is 50p per text from abraod, plus the viewer pays 25p when they open it.
