OEM software is usually the same as the boxed without support or the box. Normally OEM software is supplied with a new PC system so manufactures can do bundle deals. OEM software is no problem as long as you do not need support as the makers of the software would normally tell you to go to the supplier for assistance.
OEM software is it good or bad? This depends on how you see it. As long as software manufactures are not suffering due to the undercutting of the price I can not see a problem and I dont think they would sell the product as OEM if they were not.
It all depends if you want the software with support and a cardboard box as cost or to take the chance with OEM without the support and without the box at a cheaper price. Hmmmm let me think now what do you think?
All I can say it watch out where you get it as you can not complain if the software dont work. If you do the question from the software manufacture would be where did you get it form and did you know you where getting OEM. If you did not know it was OEM then the supplier may get a nasty kick up the .... from the software manufacture and you will not get a replacement. If you did know you was getting OEM from the supplier, you and the supplier may get a nasty kick up the .... from the software manufacture and you still will not get a replacement.
It's up to you
