	I have a simple problem, but unfortunatley haven't been able to find the solution yet... On my message board, the default is set to show topics "from the last month"... Can I change this preference to always show topics "from the last year" instead? Thank you for addressing my meager needs.

	Yes you can, go to the forum's setup page in the admin area, and edit the forum you wish to chnage the default date for. You can set a different date for each forum.
