Hello everybody,

After the installation when i try to connect to the forum with the administrator login i have this error message :

"Code de sécurité Unique

Erreur d'exécution Microsoft VBScript error '800a01f4'

Variable non définie: 'strTxtEnterCAPTCHAcode'

/content/forum/login_user.asp, line 389".

What is the problem ?

What can i do ?

This means that the language file you are using is not compatible with the version of the forum you are using.

It's allright, i have installed the french language for 7.96 and it's functional now.

But i have a second problem :

"
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09'

Mise à jour impossible. La base de données ou l'objet est en lecture seule.

/content/forum/login_user.asp, line 171"

In english : "

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09'

Update Impossible. The database or the object is on read only.

/content/forum/login_user.asp, line 171".

What can i do ?

Thanks for all,

Waiken.

This mans that you do not have permission to write to the database.

Permissions need to be set on the web server for you to write to the database. Contact your hosting company.

This means that you do not have permission to write to the Access database.

Permissions must be setup on the server so that you can write to the database, contactb your web host to get them to set the permissions for you.

When i'm connected to my webspace with a ftp client, i see the write permission on my access database.

I have  a question, is there a link between this problem and the coonection with the database than i do in dsn ?

On a Windows web server you can not change the permissions via FTP, the 757 etc. numbers in FTP for permissions only work on a Unix web server.

You need to contact your hosting comapny to setup permissions for you to write to the database, but you may find that your web host already has a special 'Database' or 'Private' folder already setup for databases with the correct permissions applied.

For security reasons you should move the database to such a folder anyway, and follow the install intructions on how to setup the new database path in the forum.
