i have the newsletter programe but i am having mega problems here is just one of them
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09' Cannot update. Database or object is read-only. /email/mailing_list/sign_up.asp, line 234 for some reason most of the codes are missing from what i can see i dont understand asp that much so i cannot realy say can any one help me please |

this is because the databnase is in a folder that is read only, not read/write also make sure the database is the same |

You need to set Read/Write permissions to the folder the database is in. Also if this is for a Web Wiz Guide app, you need to post in the Web Wiz Support Forums next time.

i have checked all of the permissions and there is no problem there and i have even given the database a complete direction to where to find it it worked for 5 secs a minute ago but now its not working again |

Permissions need to be set on the server itself for the IUSR account giving Read, Write, and Modify, permissions to the folder the database is within. i have checked that and they have redone my permissions but still i get when i try to sign up this note
Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3' Server.CreateObject Failed /email/mailing_list/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 245 800401f3 and i get the same sort of thing going all the way through the programe it worked for five seconde a little bit ago i added one catagory but then when i tried to add another one i got the same simaler code problems even though i didnt change a thing |
