Their servers might be cool -- but why use a proprietary format for streaming? Besides, I have to install the "client" software which is just not worth it IMHO. For any real content, I would suggest you google for "alternative real player". Then you get the benefit of their cool servers without using their software.

There are some very compelling reasons to use Real servers for streaming - not the least of which is bandwidth and user experience.
Real lets you specify different settings for different bandwidth users and automatically deliver the best content for the connection, e.g. 56k, 128k, 384k, 1.5Mbps, etc.
I don't know if the "alternative real player" will facilitate a Real server. And actually, the Real Media format is pretty good when compared with a lot of others.
Their client software used to be really bad, but it has improved MAJORLY. They are definitely worth checking out if you haven't done so in a few years.
Another thing about Real players is that they are a fantastic rich media platform for delivering wicked presentations and things. It's amazing that people haven't picked up on it. Same could be said for QuickTime, but they are still weak in comparison to Real for that.

I have been hosting a on demand music web site for last few months and I tried Shoutcast and Micorsoft Media server. They both dont worth a try. Does any one know about any hosting company offer Real Player Hosting.

Don't be so afraid to express what you really mean ... are you trying to say you don't like Real Player?
