No, every time I go to the forum it says I am logged in and appears fine. Never have to enter username/password info. I've only had to login once after the upgrade to version 9. Users haven't reported anything like that either (though it may take them awhile to do so).
Is there a test search query that I can use in mysqladmin or Navicat to run on the database and see what sort of output (or not) is given? I tried to look through to code and see if could have been simple, but it appears to be quite a complex query. Maybe with something like 'horse' in it, as that should produce a lot of hits in the equestrianpage.com forum.
I'm almost leaning towards the possible conversion from Access to mySQL? Maybe character set issues, like a character that was valid in the Access database isn't in mySQL? Though I figure Navicat would have said something about that? Strange though, when converting the database to mySQL, the database itself seemed relatively simple and straight forward.
The only "strange" occurance that I have noticed beyond the search not working, is in the ufovidmag forum, the "UFO->General Disscussion" forum is displayed before the "UFOVIDMAG->General Discussion". So it would be UFO->General Discussion, then UFOVIDMAG->General Discussion, then UFO->Yakima, then the rest of the UFO area, and the rest of the forums in proper order. I wonder if that is it. I need to re-order the forums?
When I click within one of the forums, then go back to the Forum Home, it is displayed correctly. I'd say this happens about once every ten times I view the Forum Home. I have not observed this behavior on the equestrianpages.com forum at all.
I am using the latest mySQL ODBC that I downloaded and installed prior to the database conversion, update(s). The week of August 12th. I hope I am not sending you off on unrelated stuff.
