WWF ver. 8 beta 1 - first opinion

The forums index page should load in under 0.05 seconds. What is the process time at the bottom of the page showing?

The first time the forums index loads it should do it in 5 queries after that it should be just 2 or 3 queries no matter how many forums or sub forums you have.

Also could you check again once you setup forums and if it continues could you please let me know:-

What database version your are using?
What type of forum setup do you have? (how many forums, sub forums, etc.)

It seems that populating the database has cleared the problem up, but even a 0.4 processing time is less than half a second so is still an improvement over the old version and puts allot of other forum systems to shame.

A 0.016 time is increadable, and is a better process time than the index page on this site which is 0.063, but it is running on MSDE with further memory restictions and the rest of this site sharing the same database.

Also I often find with SQL Server the first time you use a database on the server after setting it up or a reboot, it takes time for the SQL Server to load the database into it's memory and get going.
