I have been using IE8 recently and am annoyed by it's behaviour. When you open a thread which has the post editor (at the bottom for reply to the thread), the editor field gets the focus, the screen auto scrolls to this field meaning if you intended to read the posts above you have to manually scroll way back up.

I understand that this behaviour is tied to IE's handling but I have found it a particularly nuisance when using WWF. Has anyone found a method to disable this behaviour in IE8 or failing that, what files need to be modded to disable the auto focus in the form field?

No joy on that front I'm afraid, I had already tried the compatibility option, including applying to ALL sites. I know it's not a bug and not even strictly related to WWF, just thought someone here may have had this and found a resolution.

I use FF too but write apps which must support all browsers and therefore find myself using IE on ocassion. I'm sure I'll find a way round it and I'll let you know when I do ;o)

Get firefox and stop wondering if it will work or not.
