Below is the error code I get when I attempt a fresh install before I attempt to upgrade. I checked the troubleshooting section but nothing helped. Angry

Server Error in Forum Application
An error initialising Global Variables from database.
Please contact the Forum Administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_getForumConfigurationData()_read_global_variables
File Name:- global_variables_inc.asp
Forum Version:- 10.03

Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'tblSetupOptions', database 'TESTWWFTEST', schema 'dbo'.

The error response from the server gives you your answer:-

The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'tblSetupOptions', database 'TESTWWFTEST', schema 'dbo'.

The error is saying that you do not have permission on the database. You should contact your database admin and have them correct the permissions issue on your database.
