Hi borg,
I have set my privacy and security level totally down and still I get the same errors. No AV, pop-up killer or something like that.
When I switch to HTML view, my editing is added and I have no errors, but when I hit the submit button I see no changes in the preview. But no error messages.
Something else I can try?
K.

The reason why it is not submitting is becuase of the permissions error
you get isn't allowing the original textarea to be updated with the
contents of the RTE when submitted.
The problem is I can see no reason in the code why this error would
occur, and unless I can replicate this error in some way I can't try a
change the code to something that would work as I have no-way of
testing the code.
You say it happens on all the computers you test on, is there snything that is simular between all the machines.
Also I know Norton does course allot of problems, have you tried on a
mchine that Norton is not installed on and if you have did it have the
same error?
Thanks for your help.

Hi boRg
Firstly must say RTEv3 looks great. I'm trying to use it to allow the user to update a news item. But i'm having the same problems as Kriz, interestingly also have the problem with V2. Shut down Zone alarm but this not helped.
It does seem to update once from a clean boot.
Im on win98 se2 with IE6.0.28 with EZ anti virus
will try on another machine

Well I've tried Norton Internet Security and apart from making my
computer run much slower (about 30%) it's not replicating the error.
I guess I'll have to try some other means to replicate this error.
Just need to try and worlout what is coursing the problem then I can
try a replicate the error so that I can come up with a solution.
Right now I'm going to try a get rid of that horrible Norton software from my machine

Very odd... The demo is working fine now. A few days ago it got those errors. Did you change something in your code?
(OS : Win XP SP2 - Software : IE 6.0 + SP2 - Norton Antivirus 2005 enabled and no firewall or any blockers. I did a clean format a few weeks ago, so I don't have much software on it for the moment.)
I hope it keeps on going now.

This is getting stranger as I have changed nothing on the version 3
beta 1 demo since I uploaded it at the begining of last week.
From what I can find on javascript permission errors they usually only
occur when trying to fire an event or access a frame from a different
site or another domain, so I can't see how it can happen when
everything is on the same site and no frames are used.
