Sounds like you're hosed.

I always use 3rd party registrars like godaddy or registerfly. Point the domains to whatever nameservers I want.

Your host sounds like the people who wrote the game with the line in it "All your bases are belong us". If I were you, I'd try to get the cc thing straightend out to regain access to the domains and data and then run away from them.

http://www.internic.com/alpha.html

2 years ago, there were only 12 companies in this list i think... now.. they are many. when a company wants to put the ICANN logo on its website, from where does it bring it? where is the MASTER domain registry Database? where the WHOIS info are stored, that all the DNS servers updates from it? (Don't tell me it is distributed at many places, cuz sure it is centralized someplace).

that's the only WISE solution.. I can't risk... btw.. this company is ranked from the top 10 registrar in the world, it registered more than 700,000 domains till now.

You still need to use a registrar that allows you to control the contact info. Personally, I prefer Registerfly.com as they have some very good bulk-domain handling stuff. They cost about $/year/domain more than godaddy, but send out expiration notice emails to everyone in contact info starting about 6-8 weeks before the expiration and getting more frequent as the expiration date approaches.

BTW... My assumption during this thread was that your domain registrar and your host were the same. Upon re-reading the thread however, it looks like that may not be the case.

I can control the contact info. FULLY control it, and they ALSO DO control ME and IT too, so they can change everything as I can do, but when they syspend my account, onlt they can change it
