Hi,
I am developing a portal based on the WebWizForum and I am using the Active Users Sting to show users online. However I want to know which file I have to include in my portal so when a visitor hits the portal he should be counted as a Active User Guest? I think that currently only the visitors that hit the forum are counted. Correct me if Im wrong.

Active Users are held in an application array.

The include file that updates the array is:-

includes/active_users_inc.asp

If you are using version 8 you are posting in the wrong forum.

For version 8 you need to post in the Version 8 beta testing forum.

Version 8 is still in Beta Testing and is not yet complete so should not be used on a production web server as it is unstable and you may not be able to upgrade to the final version once released (it does say all this on the Version 8 beta testing download page).

Beta 2 is about to be released for version 8 (again for testing ONLY and NOT to be used on a production server), in Beta 2 the way active users work has been completely re-written along with a completely new login and tracking system that required every single file to be altered.

If you are running your portal on a live server you should be using version 7.97 which is the present official stable release.
